This week was "back to school" 2008-2009 and all the emotions; misgivings; check-writing; logistics-figuring; picture-taking and adjusting that goes with it. I loved every minute of it, I think - even though some of it was/is difficult. We're alive, healthy, and loving God in Las Vegas. Here are my favorite kid photos of the week:
Our second-grader.
Our Kindergartener.
Joe, Cayna, and Bethie on the first day.

ohhhhh they are so cute, so grown up! I can't believe Joe is a second grader, what's his persoanlity like? Your girls are so sweet, who do they look like?
Joe is a lot like he was when you knew him - remember the guy who was pretty hesitant to trick-or-treat? He's still an observer, but sharp, handsome, and funny! (Someone Addie might want to marry someday?) Everyone says Cayna looks the most like Kevin but they all resemble him. I think all they get from me is their coloring.
It shouldn't be hard to believe Joe is a second grader, since I have my own yard stick right here in my house, but it still is. It just doesn't seem like seven years ago they were laying on the floor on a blanket together.
Rachel... I KNOW!!! I think of your 3 kids, I marvel the most at how big Anna is - because of those same memories.
Did you mean to include the curtains in the discontent blog?
(you're gon'na wish Laura never showed me your blog) :)
Oh, no --- yes, I might wish Laura didn't share, but at the same time you always make me laugh.
As for the curtains, I CERTAINLY am not the one who picked those out. If only you could see the drapes that they had over those! Blech.
