Mrs. Personality

If I could earn my Masters and PhD tomorrow, I'd do it in a heartbeat, and then I would use my illustrious degrees to travel around and give personality tests to people in corporations and organizations. They would all hate me, because I'd be interrupting their workday, but I would have so much fun!

If I didn't think it would cost me friendships, I'd go around all day administering personality tests to everyone I know. And then talk about it. Endlessly. I just don't get bored of it.

Which is why today I added my Myers-Briggs letters to my blog header. (ENFJ) Maybe people will read that and suddenly realize why they love me so much. Or why I drive them bonkers. Layla will simply realize I copied her.

If you are intrigued by the idea of a personality test, or a "type indicator" or a temperament analysis - you can find free Myers-Briggs mini-tests online. Or pay the $29.00 for the whole shebang. Or call me! I'll pose as the PhD I want to be and analyze you for FREE! (Yes, I realize this is how men and women end up in jail every day... so on second thought, I better not do any such pretending.)

I'll close with a quote from a saint which I could argue has something to do with personality:

"Do not wish to be anything but what you are, and try to be that perfectly.” - St. Francis de Sales

I am an ESFP! What do you think about that?

I like the final quote. I was watching a little honeyeater the other morning flitting from flower to flower. It was being itself unconcerned with all the other birds and insects. If only humans would display such beneficient anarchy sometimes! Thanks

Okay, I'll bite. Analyze me.

Turns out I'm an ENFJ, scoring a "1" in judgment. These people administering it are clearly foolish and don't know what they're talking about.....oh, wait.

We are the same! I am ENFJ, too!

Janice - that makes sense! Did you just now do the test or had you taken it previously? Did you read up on your "type" a little? That always is the fun part for me. Sooo revealing!
Jelaine - we could have a heyday talking personality. I'm pretty sure in our long friendship, this must have happened already. I am a SUPER J. We'd make a great team.
Patricia! - How funny. Now, what can we do with these similar personalities?

What's a Super J? I got a measly "1" in J and high numbers in the other three. I hope this doesn't mean I'm gonna drive off a cliff any time soon because the flowers in the canyon below are so pretty that I must get a closer loo.......aaaaaaAAAAAAHHHHH!!

Actually, I bet this is why I go shark feeding, isn't it? Way too optimistic; a little lacking in discernment.

Shark feeding! You make me laugh. And laugh. Super J is my own term. I'm a VERY high J. Like as high as you can go. Same with my N. I need to review what all those numbers mean - it will be a delightful little project once I return from watching you feed the sharks.

I am going to check that out...or call you....I'm not sure. I'm sure that says something about my personality.

No, I took it in college. I wonder if I'd be the same now!
