Where it all began

This photo is more significant than it might appear. Three couples and eleven children smiling in the sun on the UNLV campus. Thing about these three couples is that they all met at UNLV around 1995. In the thirteen years since: three weddings, many moves, jobs, ministries, births, and countless other experiences. As of a week ago, they now all live on the same street back in Henderson, Nevada. The "smiling in the sun" picture was taken Saturday, when they went back to where it all began and laughed and joked about a million memories. Now we look forward to making a billion more.

That's amazing that you all live on the same street, did you know that when you moved in? God works in mysterious ways!

It is amazing, and we did know when we moved in. That's what brought us back to Vegas. Now more are joining us! We've got a great neighborhood going!

Sigh - I wish I could join your commune, er I mean, cult, oops, I meant community, yeah, community. Just kidding, just kidding. I am a little envious but very very happy for you!

I am also whistfully envious but happy for you. Wish it could be that way everywhere! Me? Dealing with old people who think my kids think they 'own the neighborhood' when they are playing hid and seek around the houses and that my dogs are evil and dangerous when in fact, they will just bark to say hello and then lick you to death. So much fun, SoCal.

This is a combo entry from your New Years Eve post.... Surely there had to be some memories of us folks in Hanford who know how to bring the New Year in right! Come on, doesn't sound like your community there can compare with that one certain New Years Eve many many years ago. Ok, so there are a lot more kids now. Just kidding, sounds like a great neigborhood and being that I just learned the last name of opne of my neighbors a year ago after 12 years makes mine not so great. We do miss ya though.
